Raising Scholars • Building Character • Nurturing Faith
At KAS Christian International School, our boarding programme is built on one simple promise: every child entrusted to us is loved, nurtured, protected and raised in a Christ-centred home away from home.
From our youngest residents aged two, to our confident Junior High School graduates, boarding at KAS is not merely about a place to sleep — it is a way of life that shapes character, builds independence, deepens faith and unlocks academic excellence.
For the career mother, the travelling professional, the family seeking the very best for their child, and the parent who longs for their child to thrive in a safe, structured and spiritually grounded environment — worry no more. Your child is in good hands.
KAS offers Early Years Boarding from age 2, alongside boarding for Primary and Junior High School learners. Children are accommodated in age-appropriate houses, each with its own dedicated team of caregivers and house parents — so a toddler's world is gentle and cosy, while an older child's environment fosters growing independence and responsibility.

Our daily routine gives children the security of structure while leaving room for rest, play and individuality. Throughout the night, our caregivers remain on duty, conducting regular checks and attending to any child who needs comfort or care.
Good food is good care. Our boarders are served three nutritious main meals and two snacks each day, planned for balance, variety and the energy growing children need. Meals draw on wholesome local and continental dishes, with special attention to the needs of our youngest residents and any child with allergies or medical requirements.
Our youngest boarders are fed gently and patiently, with mashed and softened foods where needed. Caregivers ensure every child eats well, drinks enough water, and develops healthy eating habits. Clean drinking water is available throughout the day.
Little Ama stirs gently as her caregiver greets her with a soft good morning and a hug. She is helped to wash and dressed in fresh, comfortable clothes, her hair lovingly combed. After a short, sweet morning prayer and a simple song of thanks, Ama enjoys a warm bowl of porridge.
Her morning is full of gentle wonder — singing rhymes, naming colours and shapes, listening to a Bible story told with bright pictures, building with soft blocks, and laughing through play with her little friends, all watched over closely by her caregivers. A mid-morning snack of fruit keeps her going.
After lunch, Ama settles down for her afternoon nap in a clean, cosy bed, her caregiver nearby. She wakes refreshed for more play, a snack, and outdoor fun in the safe play area. Bath time is warm and unhurried, followed by a comforting supper.
As evening falls, Ama joins a simple devotion, hears a bedtime story, says her prayers, and is tucked in with care. Her caregiver checks on her through the night. At KAS, Ama is not just looked after — she is cherished.
Kofi, a Primary 4 boarder, rises with the morning bell, washes and dresses smartly in his uniform, and makes his bed before joining his housemates for morning devotion. After a hearty breakfast, he heads off to assembly and a full, engaging school day.
Through the day, Kofi learns, asks questions, plays at break, and enjoys his meals with friends. He thrives on the rhythm of school — knowing exactly what comes next gives him confidence and calm.
After lessons close and an afternoon snack, the best part of Kofi's day begins: sports and clubs. He loves football, and on other days explores reading club, art, or coding. After his bath and supper, he settles into supervised prep, where a house teacher is always on hand to help with homework and revision.
Evening devotion draws the day to a peaceful close — a hymn, a short reflection, prayers, and lights out. Kofi sleeps well, ready to do it all again tomorrow, growing a little more independent, capable and grounded each day.
Esi, a Junior High School boarder preparing for her BECE, begins her day early — rising, tidying her space, and joining devotion with focus and gratitude. Breakfast fuels a demanding academic day of core subjects, practical lessons and rigorous classwork.
Esi has learned to manage her time well. Between lessons she revises, consults her teachers, and supports her classmates. After school she balances exercise and recreation with responsibility, taking part in sports or leadership roles within her house — KAS encourages older boarders to mentor and serve the younger ones.
Following supper, Esi enters the heart of a boarder's advantage: a long, quiet, supervised prep session. Free from distraction, she works through past questions, completes assignments, and prepares for the next day, with teachers available for guidance. This consistent discipline is what sets KAS boarders apart in their examinations.
The day ends in evening devotion and quiet reflection, where Esi commits her studies and her future to God. She rests knowing she is being prepared not only to excel academically, but to step into the world as a confident, principled young woman of faith.
The wellbeing of every child is our highest priority. Our boarding houses are staffed by caring, trained house parents and matrons who attend to each child's emotional, physical and spiritual needs. A school nurse and access to medical care ensure that any illness is attended to promptly, and parents are kept informed.
We maintain a robust Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy, clear visitor and collection protocols, secure premises, and an open culture in which every child knows they are heard, valued and safe.
We understand that being apart is not always easy — for child or parent. KAS provides regular, scheduled opportunities for parents to speak with and visit their children, alongside updates on their progress and wellbeing. Our doors, and our hearts, remain open to the families we serve.
